Tryphone.com does exactly that..this web site demonstrates a virtual phone for every possible phone model available in the market. It mimics the user interface of the phone and the user can play with the virtual phone to se how the interface feels like. users can navigate from dfferent screens just as they navigate when they have the phone in hand. Apart from this it also features reviews of different phones and side-by-side comparisons, it’s a good way to educate yourself before making a purchase - which can also be done through this site.
Still in beta, it’s not as interactive as I’d like, the demos walk you through the basics, like text messaging and interface look and feel. They’re really tutorials more than demos, but you get the idea. Try it with the virtual iPhone to see how accurate it is.
